Hi,
Without going into too much detail. How much legal trouble would you be in if you were complicit in your company's illegal activities?

Think fake or fraudulent product the company sold and you knew about but did nothing. Can't deny knowledge of it as there's a paper trail proving you knew.

Product is not something life threatening or anything that would cause any harm. Not conning old folks out of life savings or anything sinister at all. But still illegal.

Would the police be interested in you as low to mid level employee with no direct gain from this illegal activity bedside your normal wages? How far would they pursue it? Would they prosecute you? How long after they leave the job would they still be interested in you?

Any advice would be appreciated as causing some stress to someone I know.

Thank you.

No. Unless you're a director or in charge of product quality or legal the police won't be interested at all.

Yes. They’re complicit so the police would be interested.
The minute they discovered the illegality they should’ve reported it to the authorities.
Are the police currently involved? Or soon to be involved?
I’d get legal advice.

I'd get some advice and be looking for another job pronto

I'd get an hours free at a solicitor

My friend worked for a company and she found they were producing knock off perfumes and she did an anonymous tip off to trading standards

After she'd left

Depends how many people “know”. If you’re one of a handful, police might care. If you’re one of lots, police would focus on management.

In any event, the bigger issue is probably your personal reputation? If it all goes wrong, and you’ve stayed, you may struggle to find another job.
