They say they have no availability, where do I stand?

As far as I'm aware no they are not as they would be breaking the law if they had too many children in

ChrissyPlummer · 28/06/2021 12:06

Defer it; write to whoever it is these days saying you have no childcare. Nothing else you can do.

Clymene · 28/06/2021 12:07

No of course not, they're a private business. Have you tried other nurseries to see if they have a space short term? Otherwise I guess you'll have to get a deferral.

Is your child likely to go to nursery full time at some point?

juryquery · 28/06/2021 13:09

Hi thanks for this, I didn't think they were I just wanted to check before I tried to defer
I've called the jury officer and told her what's happened and she said she will defer if she can't excuse

My son won't be at nursery in the next year full time, he only goes on a Tuesday for the time being and I've actually just quit my job

It sounds like it would be financially difficult to do it even if they could take him if you're not working!

@Clymene

If they accept him you can claim cost back but no they're not under an obligation to and if they're full on the extra days they physically cannot take him.
