Financial annual statements

For my house i pay an annual service charge. Since the maintenance company changed hands, I haven't had the annual statement of funds. When I ask for it, I get it sent grudgingly. Does anyone know if they should be sending it out by law please? They're register with company house so I could look it up there I guess. Just want to make sure before I tackle them about it again.

A properly run management company should produce and supply accounts each year. Do you hold a share(s) in the company? If so I would suggest you speak to your neighbours and make enquiries about when the AGM is to be held and all go along (or attend by Zoom atm I suppose).

Since it changed hands I haven't had anything about an AGM either. I know they have to go accounts but I'm not sure if theybhacdvto supply them though as a matter of course or if if it on request.

Any company on companies house are legally required to submit annual accounts, so you could look under their filing history for the last set for the last financial year. Also on the CH website it will tell you when the next set should be filed by, otherwise they are liable for a fine.

They have filed but I don't know if they have to send the accounts out to the people who pay the maintenance fees they are spending?

They only have to send you accounts if you are shareholders. Since you talk about them changing hands, I presume you are not. If that is the case, they do not have to send you accounts unless your contract with them requires them to do so.

No, not a shareholder just a management company
