So my ex has finally slipped up telling obvious lies where I am able to catch him out.. what is a judge likely to do ?

It will depend on the magnitude of the lie and the impact. It will certainly cast doubt on whether that person is generally to be trusted. It will depend on whether the lies were told while "under oath". The judge will put the child's best interests first and sometimes both parents are as bad as eachother in different ways and the judge has to decide whether it's in the child's best interests to split their time between two deeply flawed individuals, or whether it would be better for one or other to not be in their lives at all - but the bar for that is a lot higher than simply being dishonest sometimes.

It will probably depend on the lie, but generally it would go against someone

It's in regards to ex refusing to give consent on a medical referral. He has now, but it obviously caused a delay.
