See on a local Fb page. Which is run by a busy body to say the least. Has purchased some labels stating ' pavements for people not cars.' for those who park on the curb. Which I know you're not allowed to do and I'm not agreeing that they should park there.
But lots of comments saying that's classed as vandalism.
Theyre sticking on the windscreen and driver window.
I tried to Google but can't find anything.
Just a general Wondering whilst I sit here reading all the comments on there.

Are they allowed to do this. Surely they'd just be better reporting it.

Actually full on sticky labels?

I did the same with handwritten post it notes 2 or 3 times to 2 or 3 cars that used to park in a location that forced me and my pram to step out into a busy 40mph road.

Nothing new. 30 years ago these stickers were all the rage, Hope pic attached. They were super sticky and the only way you could get them off was in a million pieces and razor blading the remains off the windscreen. People didn’t park like arseholes as they didn’t want the hassle of a Mickey sticker.

It is arguable that a sticker that is difficult to remove constitutes criminal damage. However, the important word in that sentence is "arguable". It is not clear that a prosecution would succeed. It is unlikely the police would want to pursue such a case.

I believe it is only in London where you are not allowed to park on a pavement. "Must not" in London and "should not" elsewhere.

We have wide pavements, wide enough to park an entire car on and still get a double buggy past. So lots of people do put two wheels on the pavement to aid traffic flow.

I would be worried for the safety of the person stickering the cars. Surely if this is a local FB page then just showing the cars parked like that is enough to stop most people doing it. Some police forces now allow you to submit footage of driving or parking to allow them to prosecute.
