Purchased a sofa from harveys in 2014 started to get rips in between the gaps, got a upholsterer to come out & they reported it to be a Manufacturers fault. Harveys we’re willing to give me a partial refund or exchange for the same value of the sofa to what we paid. We chose to have it exchanged and put abit more money in & bought another sofa in 2017. Got delivered 3months later. Last year on the corners of both sofa’s the leather has been peeling, they are aware of this. I was asked by them to get a independent report again, so I contacted Servico they were due to attend in December 2019, they went into administration 2days before my appointment so didn’t attend. Harveys then as good will arranged for Homeserve to attend in March, but lockdown happened and they didn’t attend. June 3rd I called harveys and they told me to call back in July if I don’t hear from homeserve rescheduling the appointment. Called on 4th July to find out harveys have gone into administration!
Absolutely fuming!
Where do I go from here?
Planning to contact CA tomorrow. I’ve contacted the administrators and got a automated reply someone would email me within 7days and that’s not happened it’s nearly 2weeks!

Some info here

“Do my return rights still apply after a company has gone into administration?

If you’ve been supplied with faulty goods and the company is placed into administration but is still trading, you may be able to get a replacement or a refund in the normal way under the Consumer Rights Act.

If the company isn’t trading while it’s in administration, you’ll need to make a claim to the administrator as an unsecured creditor, so it may be unlikely that you'll get a refund in this case.

But if you don’t submit a claim in writing to the administrators then it is highly unlikely that they will stand to get their money back. We think it’s worth at least trying.

If you have a faulty item, you could register your claim with the administrators for the cost of fixing the item, or for a refund if there's still time to reject the item”
