So have had an email a couple weeks ago stating that we was breaching our housing contract and that we had to wait for a letter. It’s been about 4 weeks and no letter, go in contact with housing officer and he said that it’s already been taken to court. I never received a letter! Fair enough maybe it got lost in the post but surely stuff like that should be signed for? Also no one can seem to even tell me what we’re being taken to court over. The housing officer just keeps sending me to someone else then this someone else puts me through to someone else etc and it’s just a cycle. There is no communication in the counci! I need advice because it seems like we’re getting evicted for whatever reason and because I never received a letter about the court then I’ve missed it

You should get in touch with your local councillors. They can speak to the council housing office and find out what has happened and advocate on your behalf with them if you have received no prior contact about why they say you are in breach of your contract and are evicting you.

Contact CAB or your local housing law centre ASAP. Take all paperwork with you.

Presumably your home is where you post is sent? i.e. you don't have an appointee or someone who deals with your admin?

Try to find out what court heard your case and when, then contact the court - not sure whether they'll give you any info on housing cases but it's worth a try as sometimes the clerks can be very helpful.

And ask MNHQ to move this post to Legal - you'll get more specific help there (especially once you have more info about the breach).

Either ask them to email you a copy or call into the office and ask for a copy then you know what you're dealing with.
