So, DD came back from spending the weekend with her dad. Whenever she is with him he bad mouths me to her. He is constantly questioning her on how I can afford things, and this is in the context of him thinking he shouldn't be paying me any child support. He asks things such as how i can afford a winter coat, new school shoes etc. He gives me £500 a month child support which goes toward the rent on our house. However, his behaviour is becoming more concerning and I don't know what to do. yesterday DD came home having not being fed any dinner. When I asked her why, she said her dad said " your mum can feed you as he can afford it". So, DD came home really hungry. Ex is very well off and thousands in the bank as well a property . I am reliant on benefits as DD has a disability which means I'm unable to work. He is also acting weird and goes on about conspiracy theory's and aliens amongst other things. Once he tried to get DD to take gold powder which he has ordered from the internet . I cant get a solicitor as legal aid is no longer an option. So, what can I do? I have tried talking to him but he is who he is and cant see that the way he is behaving is not healthy. He is causing a lot of stress to DD and she has enough to cope with , with her disability. He also spends most of the time dd is with him , on his phone. He seems to be putting his hatred for me and his bitterness at having to contribute toward his child's upbringing above the wellbeing of our daughter.
We were married for 10 years and he is refusing to pay me any pension despite the fact he is property rich and cash rich also.

For your DD there are things you can do to help her feel less caught in the middle. Offer her food when she comes home, don't ask about the why's and where fore's just offer food. Listen if she wants to talk, but beyond a casual did you have a nice time don't enquire about her time with him.
Can you afford just an hour with a solicitor to get advice on how to start the process.

Thank you replying. Good advice. I did give her food but also questioned her and showed my upset at the fact he hadn't fed her. Will keep my cool more in future ! I'm seeing a solicitor tomorrow to get some advice. There is a history of domestic abuse so I'm going to see if that will entitle me to fee legal representation. I feel incredibly quilty that I married a man who can behave a such a way toward his own child. Ex husband was very good at masking who he really is.

Gold powder?

whichheadisright · 01/10/2019 09:11

Yep. Gold powder. Aka monoatomic gold . It's supposed to bring spiritual enlightenment Hmm
Ex is a fruit cake . Thankfully I confiscated it and have held onto it in case things get really difficult with the divorce and how he is parenting our DD.
