Consumer rights on product not fit for purpose?

I recently bought some clothing items online (nursing bras) from a well known brand.

They appeared fine after trying on, so I got rid of the packaging etc. I have worn and washed them all once and now they have gone all baggy and riding up in the back etc. In my mind they are not fit for purpose. I’ve had them for less than 30 days.

Do I have any rights as a consumer to be able to obtain a refund? They weren’t cheap and I don’t want to wear them now as they are uncomfortable. All I can find online relates to items being faulty, not much about rights for things not fit for purpose. Do I have a leg to stand on having worn/washed them and got rid of the packaging?

If they've lost their shape after one wash then they are not fit for purpose. Go for it.

Your rights for items that are not fit for purpose are the same as for those that are faulty. However, on your description these items are faulty. Clothing should not lose its shape after one wash (assuming the washing instructions have been followed). If it does, it is faulty.
