Where do you start representing yourself for divorce?

The legal bills have reached over £10k and I have just completed the first court appearance. My stbxh has very deep pockets and it determined to see the court appearances through to the final hearing, which means I might have 12 months of solicitor fees in front of me.
I am a low earner with no ability to get credit and no savings.
How do I teach myself divorce law on the job ?
Are there any useful books/websites?
I will try and save up so I can use a barrister for the actual court appearances, but other than that I'm on my own!

What are your court appearances for?

ColaFreezePop · 05/07/2019 23:00

Sorry I should say what aspect of your divorce are you both in disagreement about?

WitsEnding · 05/07/2019 23:01

Look at the wikivorce website.

Sorry, I din't give enough info.
It's for the financial aspect only, we have no children together luckily otherwise I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be!
I have been to court for the FDA so far, FDR coming up in 2 months.

I've looked on Wikivorce, I find it very confusing and off course the advice is very general.
I've tried ringing the helpline several times and left my name and number, but never get called back or a reply when I ring.
