Can I move house?

Hi, I was hoping to maybe get a bit of advice, not sure if this is the right place to post.

Currently going through a divorce from abusive & controlling husband, I have remained in the family home with our child while stbxh is at parents.

The mortgage & house is in my name due to ex having poor credit score. He did contribute to mortgage when he lived here but has stopped since he left (about a year ago)

I really want to move house, I am more than willing to pay him his share of equity but he refuses to discuss it. Whenever I suggest an amount he says it's not enough & gets verbally aggressive but then wont actually give me any indication of how much he wants/expects.

I'm just getting increasingly frustrated with the situation as it's just another control tactic to prevent me moving away. I was hoping to avoid the cost of solicitors & have an amicable split but I'm aware the answer may be to go down the court route.

My question is, as the house is in my name can I just move regardless? & just say to him if he wants his money he can take me to court for it? I've spent the last year repeatedly trying to get an agreement on the split & I cant even get him to discuss it. Sorry if I sound like a cow but I'm just so frustrated with the situation, & not sure what my options are.

If he hasnt registered an interest in the property get 3 valuations, send them to him and crack on with selling. Might concentrate his mind in coming to an agreement about finances.

You could put it on the market which may force his hand. I believe he could put a notice on the land registry against the property to prevent a sale. Is he likely to do that? The alternative may be to make him a final offer in writing.
