Would you report your ex family member (ie.... mother in law) for a recent crime you no of or say stop being bitter and move forward with your divorce instead.

Depends on the crime

Singlenotsingle · 04/05/2019 16:30

What did she do?

Gruzinkerbell1 · 04/05/2019 16:31

Depends on the crime.

Murdered someone in cold blood? Absolutely.

“Forgot” to scan a couple of items through the Tesco self service till? Probs keep quiet.

Same as above

FireflyEden · 04/05/2019 16:35

Always report then you have a paper trail in case of any further incidents. This does not mean to say you are not moving on, you are, but you are showing your Ex and his family that you will not put up with anything now or in the future.

Well she took a speeding ticket for her husband as he already had points on his licence and then did the speed awareness course.

No I wouldn't. Move on

Aquamarine1029 · 04/05/2019 17:15

Let it go, op. That would be a very petty thing to do.

blackcat86 · 04/05/2019 17:17

Could you categorically prove it? I doubt it so move on. I appreciate that desire to see justice done but it sounds unlikely anything would change.

JuniFora · 04/05/2019 17:31

Wallowing in negativity to the point where you're trying to bring negativity into other people's lives will only attract more negativity into your life. People with a bad vibe attract others on the same wavelength and repel the people who will bring positivity. You're only harming yourself.

Let it go, move on, focus on self improvement and making your life one where you have better things to do and think about than wish others ill.

DGRossetti · 05/05/2019 17:48

Another way of looking at it would be that by enabling the speeding driver to carry on, there may be a fatal accident that could have been prevented had the people involved been reported for a criminal offence ?

Suppose it were drink driving ?

Jon65 · 06/05/2019 22:25

Yes I would. It is perjury for which a prison sentence is not unusual and a dreadful thing to do.

washinglions · 06/05/2019 22:39

If you would report a work colleague, friend, or a neighbour or other distant acquaintance for breaking the law in this way, then treat her in the same way.

Don't do it out of spite; if you want to report her then do it because she committed a crime.
