How do I legally double barrel my surname.

Baby #1 due in July so trying to get all my paperwork and admin changed over before then.
How do I actually do it? I've read so much online that is quite contradictory. I would like to change my banking, passport and drivers licence (by adding partners surname to the end of mine).
Anybody done this recently or have a clear set of instructions/guidance they can share? Which do I go about doing first?

Thanks!

Deed poll first. You’ll need that document to change the others.

Cheapest and easiest way is to do a Statutory Declaration signed by you and a solicitor. Get a template of the internet.

You can do it without a solicitor's signature but some places such as banks won't accept it.

If you apply for your passport first, the rest will be easier to do.

Dead poll first. I then changed my name at the doctors and asked for a print out of my details to prove I was using my new name. Passport and driving licence was a breeze after that, no issues.

Just write up a change of name deed of your own, you don't need to pay a penny to anyone to do it.
