I bought clothes to wear at wedding at a shop to wear in summer and noticed the next morning that a lot of beading and gems are missing. I've written via email to reject the clothes via the consumer rights act but they won't respond. I'm having to take them to court and citizens advice have referred to trading standards.
How long does the process take?

What happens as I need to buy new clothes but I have to travel with a baby to go to the shops. The nearest shops with that style of clothes are now 3 hours away instead of 1.

Take it back to the shop?

Just take it back to the shop in person and they will give you a refund. Very simple.

Ive emailed pictures, I've spoken to the manager I've sent a letter.

All with no joy. They only speak by phone and won't reply to anything in writing.
Its just so stressful especially with a baby

How long do you think the process will take?

I'm going to try taking it to the store and see what they say. If they say no ill have yo taken them to court.

They say the law doesn't apply. Things fall off and its to be expected and that I can only get a credit note.

I just don't understand why they can't follow the law.

I'm missing something here. You bought an item in a shop and the next day realised it was faulty? Why didn't you just take it back? I can't see why you need to take them to court?!?
