Rent reduction because building work going on at my home twice in 2 months

Would it be fair to ask for rent reduction in this case ?

I have builders outside my front door having dug a huge hole and drilling, laughing, talking, banging etc as landlord has decided she wants to put a new porch on.
Parking is very limited in my street anyway despite the estate agent telling me when I moved in that previous tenants have always been able to park right outside the house... I'm quite unhappy here as it is and very stressed due to the fact I have been experiencing regular harassment from neighbours about my car allegedly blocking the road (it hasn't been but it's it a bit tight).
Now the builders have needed to block off that space to get their truck through so I can't park outside my house, I have to go park in the town or in neighbouring street over in a housing estate.

Apparently the works will go on for a week and me and DD (4 years old) have had to walk over rickety boards placed over the hole in the ground as soon as we step out of our front door as there is no where else to go. Which doesn't feel very safe or pleasant. Plus the noise from builders being right outside my front door for a week is pretty unpleasant and disruptive.
Builders said my landlord told them I'd be accessing property through back door but this hasn't been arranged, I would need to be walking around the back of the houses and through my neighbours garden every time, plus leaving that gate that gives access to back of my house unsecured whenever I was out of the house. This wasn't discussed with me or anything by landlord.

I thought this porch might benefit me as I'd be living here and able to use it, so I haven't said anything about rent reduction, but I've had to move things around because of this ie. not being able to work from home - which my landlord had known I work from home and agreed to this.
However, although landlord/estate agent said they wanted a long term tenant, they will most likely now be putting the house on the market soon as the owner has died and the children (landlords) will need to get proceeds from house to pay inheritance tax.

My tenancy ends mid-April and then goes onto a rolling monthly contract but I have been offered a private let from a friend who's house is much more suitable for us and has a normal parking situation, I would prefer to move somewhere more stable that actually is long term.

Can I ask to end tenancy one month early or do I have to give 60 days notice ? Do you think I could negotiate this due to the inconvenience of the works whilst I am living here (why they couldn't have been done when it was vacant for months before I moved in I don't know)

Plus they have said they also want to do work on the back of the house on the patio next month too. So I have 2 lots of work in 2 months with workmen here disturbing me for something that will not even benefit me as I will need to start looking for somewhere else soon anyway.

It just seems a bit unreasonable to do these works whilst you have a tenant paying full rent.

Any advice would be great thank you

What does your tenancy agreement say about notice periods?

I would have thought you only need to give one months notice but the landlord would need to give you two months notice. Check your contract.
