Hi there.

My dad and his partner are selling their homes and buying a property together - does anyone know how this would affect our inheritance?

She has no kids or dependents - just 2 siblings and friends.
My dad has 2 kids and 4 grandkids.

Thanks

Your dad is not dead... Greedy...
Not your money,

ArnoldBee · 05/02/2019 12:08

Depends on their wishes, wills and who pops their clogs first. I always assume I'll get nothing from anyone- life us happier that way :-)

mummmy2017 ???????
I asked a straightforward question - no need for you to be a prick

ArnoldBee, yep I do too - it's just raised a few questions, esp since she doesnt get on with her family.

And a close family friend died recently without a will, and it's all got very bitter.

Having gone through a resent death, and one party was all about their share of money, I find your attitude to your living dad's money offensive.

SpanishFly · 05/02/2019 12:16

Good for you - don't reply then.
I didnt ask for your opinion, I asked a simple legal question.

I didnt state how much I love him or WHY I asked, as it's none of your business whatsoever.

I find your comment saying I'm greedy offensive - when you know literally nothing about the situation.

Nope, but your opening sentence was about your inheritance.
Try talking to your dad, ask him if he is going to redo his will.
That is the only way to make sure you don't end up with nothing.

SpanishFly · 05/02/2019 12:24

yep, cos thats what I was asking a question about! You have no clue why I am asking or what the background is, or.... etc etc etc etc etc.

So talk to your dad.
Unless you have a chat, you are never going to know.
