Restraining order - Reversal of contact Help!

Good morning,
I am hoping someone could help me with a problem my friend is experiencing. He had a volatile relationship with a woman and she accused him of abuse and harassment, he was arrested by the police but all charges were dropped but he has a 12 month harrassment order on him. However she is actually contacting him by text, phone and in person, blackmailing him and threatening to go to the police if he doesn't do what she says. Would this make the restraining order invalid if he can provide proof of her contact? She is very manipulative and he is at his wits end on how to stop her actually contacting him! Its a very sad situation so I would greatly appreciate some advice please (smile)

If he is being blackmailed he needs to go to the police himself. Is he replying to the messages she sends?

Yes, sadly he has, and she has been round his house threatening to call the police through his letter box unless he lets her in, which he has done as he’s been scared she would call the police. I have suggested he go to the police himself as surely she is violating the very thing she instigated. There are text conversations between them both also.

He needs to stop contact immediately and contact the police. She can be given a warning and advised if she continues she will be investigation for harassment.
The order is not invalidated because she contacts him. The onus is entirely on him to abide by the conditions of the order.
