Family court with grandparents

Hi everyone!
Bit of background firstly... my fiancé passed away last year due to suicide when my son was 20 months old. Ever since his death his family and friends have blamed me for his death and his parents have given me online abuse, harrassmemt and after 4/5 phone calls to the police they ended up going to the parents house to warn them to stop. They haven’t stopped but I document EVERYTHING. It’s been over a year since they saw my son (he’s now over 3 years old) but I have had a letter from a mediation organisation saying that they want to go to mediation and if I say no it will go to court... but surely they won’t allow it to get to court if there’s been abuse throughout the last year? Could I contest it? How does family law work? If I don’t agree to it, what happens? If they ever did get access what would that be like? They’ve made my life hell over this last year with threats and I just want me and my son to have a normal life again but feel like I’m getting dragged down. Any advice is appreciated!

Go to see a solicitor. If there is no history of care or an ongoing relationship ( especially as your child is so young) it is extremely unlikely that a court would insist on contact in the circumstances you have described.

Have you posted this in Legal before? Sounds very familiar.

If it's not you check all the recent posts in the last couple of weeks or so.

You need legal advice and to be contesting the application for leave to apply.
