Quick but urgent question re family court

I've completed a C100 to go to court regarding contact arrangements. There are specific dates on which I can't attend (holiday booked) and ex may not be able to attend due to work commitments he can't get out of. What happens of the court date comes back on a date we can't do? Can I specify on the form any problem dates? Usually I would make myself available whenever required but there are a couple of dates I simply can't and ex won't be flexible I'm sure.

I have no experience of these forms I'm afraid, but generally with my own clients if you put down what you cannot do the courts may try to work around that. With lonver hearings barristers' clerks go to court for a listing appointment with diaries and agree dates - it is horrenously difficult to fit around everyone and often you don't have much choice.

Sometimes if it is a date you cannot do you just have to do it or suffer the consequences. It is not that flexible a system. People have to cancel holidays at huge cost and that kind of thing. A relative had to cancel 70 (yes seventy!) appointments one week to fit around a court date.

If you and your ex know the few dates you both cannot do it may help the court if you put both dates down eg say we can do any date from October to December but I cannot do XYZ date due to booked holiday abroad and ex cannot do ABC date due to work over which he has no flexibility due to work commitments. Even then you might get a date you cannot do.
