Would this be third party contact?

My friend Isobel has a crazy ex nd has a restraining over against him where he is not allowed to contact her at all and not through a third party. Her ex has a new partner too. Isobel and her ex have a child toghether and are going through court so he can see his child. In a report prepared for the judge Isobel had told them how her ex takes drugs!! When her ex read his copy of the report his new partner then contacted a friend of Isobel’s and told her how Isobel is making up stuff to make her ex look bad. She did not ask this friend to contact Isobel and even if she did it never came directly from her ex anyways. So then the friend told Isobel about it. Now Isobel is trying to get her ex done for breaching the restraining order and doesn’t understand how it probs won’t work and she’s quite sure she has breached it..... but I don’t think he has. Has he?

So you are the new partner of the ex?

wowfudge · 25/09/2018 12:52

Just why would you? Clearly by contacting her friend this was someone looking to stir things up.

Are you the crazy ex? Rumbled .

Emz2019 · 25/09/2018 15:56

No the crazy ex is a man, I’m not a man.

One would assume that unless the ex instructed her to contact Isobel then probably not. I think if she has reported it to police then it would probably be up to them and the CPS to determine if it is a breach or not

Talking about your ex to someone else, without asking that the message be passed on, is not indirect contact.
