Did they say you are not to ,wave the UK, that you need to tell them if you do, you can call them and ask.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 19/08/2018 14:28

If there were no charges then I don't think you should worry but you could check with your local police.

BrokenFlipflop · 19/08/2018 14:29

Surely you can simply call your local station and ask them.

Finfintytint · 19/08/2018 14:29

Don't panic. You will be fine.

GreenMeerkat · 19/08/2018 14:30

They would have told you if they didn't want you to leave the UK I'm sure.

Charlotte716 · 19/08/2018 14:32

Since the interview have you heard anything else from them? Was the matter you were in to discuss now resolved or an ongoing investigation if you don’t mind me asking?

Lilip87 · 19/08/2018 14:34

have not heard anything since , was told there was no charges and that a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Lilip87 · 19/08/2018 14:38

no they never said anything like that, just that i was in for a voluntary interview and that at that time there was no charges and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal and i was free to go home. one of the officers was having a chat with me afterwards while i was waiting to go home and said he was going on holiday soon and i asked where , he told me and then asked if i was going away anywhere (at this time we weren't) so i said no don't think so we have nothing booked , he never said anything after that to make me think i couldn't

Charlotte716 · 19/08/2018 14:38

I think that sounds fine then. I would call to advise and that should put your mind at rest. If it is still a live case there is a possibility if you are a person of interest of interviewing you again. I think calling the station will settle any ore holiday nerves.

Nicknacky · 19/08/2018 19:31

You can go on holiday, dont worry.

However if they have sent a report to the pf then they have enough evidence in relation to the crime you are suspected of to believe you are responsible.

In Scotland you don't need to verbally charge someone in order to submit an report. You can tell them that a report will/may be submitted and they should make that clear (if that makes sense)

Hi need advice i have been accused of stealing jewellery from house I clean , I gave sold jewellery in past but definitely never stole i now have police interview under caution and day after is my holiday will this prevent me from going

@MyNaiceLeader - You would be better starting your own thread rather than reviving one from 7 years ago. You may get people answering the original poster and failing to notice your question. However, this will only impact your holiday if the police arrest you or order you not to leave the country.
