Long story short -
in April we had our kitchen completely redone. Within a couple of weeks of completion, the gloss doors started to warp along the bottom - at first it was on doors that would have the odd splash of water on them, eg the one under the sink, plus ones we might open with with wet hands. Then the others started to bubble - through simple everyday cleaning.
The trader came out to inspect them, agreed to replace the doors, as they were clearly faulty - and after a few weeks of toing and froing (and them arguing against us), they finally agreed to pay the fitter to carry out this work (as per the Consumer Rights Act).
They also referred it to Quality Control, and came back to us to say something along the lines that nobody has had the same issues as we have.
HOWEVER the new doors have now been in for 13 days, and I spotted today that the cupboard door under the sink is starting to bubble and warp along the bottom. I could cry. The entire episode so far has been awful and has affected my health badly (IBS, stress, snapping constantly etc).
Please can someone give me advice on what to do next. I just cannot accept yet more identical replacement doors, when the last 2 lots have lasted less than 2 weeks each.
I emailed their customer services department 2 weeks ago to ask for compensation, and didnt even hear back from them. I emailed again to chase them up, and got a reply today to say that they have escalated it and I'll hear from them soon - ie I don't have a lot of faith in their customer services in dealing with this either!
I will contact citizens advice etc, but it's hard finding time to do this when i work full-time and have the kids off school too!
Any advice would be fab, thank you
