Scots Law - Neighbour advice

Does a neighbour have a legal right to enter your garden without permission to cut back over hanging vegetation?

I'm aware they are entitled to cut back overhanging vegetation but does this need to be from their own property only?

Thanks in advance

No they don't that is trespass. Is it their vegetation that is overhanging or yours. They can only cut back to the boundary from their side.

It is ours, and I'm fine with them cutting it back, but the position of it means that there is no feasible way of them having done this without coming on to our land, without permission, while we were on holiday.

I guess it's not that big a deal but unfortunately we don't get on with them and they are generally very aggressive and antagonistic and I feel very uncomfortable with them being on my property while I am not there. If they had asked permission, it would be given on the basis that they are supervised whilst on my land.

I think the Scots of law of trespass may be different to England.

It's a moot point anyway, because they would deny being on our land and we have no proof, but I'd still like to know where I stand legally.
