CAFCASS Recommendations make no sense!

Hopefully someone might be able to help me...

Quick background.

My child came to live with me over 12 months ago because she was removed from her mother's care due to neglect. Said child did she her mum a few times but decides she didn't want to see her anymore and had good reasons.

Mother took me to court, section 7 has been done but it makes no sense in its recommendations.

For example they say child is confident, intelligent and very articulate for age. They say that child has said about not liking mum and does not want to see her.

But in recommendations say daughter is to have Weekley telephone calls with her mother. It also says child can spend time with mother, unsupervised.

My only small glimmer is it says can and not should on the contact but I still feel like they are ignoring child's wishes.

Sorry if I missed this but how old is your child

If your child is young her views will be taken into account but they are not decisive as she may not appreciate the consequences of her actions. It is considered important for children to maintain links with both parents if possible. It is therefore not overly surprising that CAFCASS recommend attempting to maintain contact. The court will not necessarily follow the CAFCASS recommendation but the younger your daughter is, the more likely it is that the court will want to see some form of contact.

She's is 9...

There aren't even any time frames on the suggestions, like talk on phone for 10 weeks before trying to meet to rebuild the relationship. Given she has said to cafcass she is scared of her mum they don't seem to have listened.
