Is that allowed, or do they have to apply for change of use?
There are lorries and vans etc, in and out all day.
I thought you could work from home I'm an office or study without any problems, but a large plant business??
It's causing us quite a lot of aggravation, with the noise, and they are ruining the road and verges too, because the driveway is too narrow to get in, so they have to swing the lorries right up the grass first.
So my question is, do they need change of use for the property, or some kind of permission? Tia

Depends on what permission the premises has at present. If it is residential, then they will almost certainly need change of use, and you will be able to put representations in against it. Look on the Planning Portal, under their address, you should be able to see what planning applications they have put in on that. Or ring your local PLanning dept at the Council and have it registered as a complaint.

Great thank you. I've looked at the planning portal, and there's nothing there at all.
I've checked on Companies House too, and the business is still registered to their old house address!

Get in touch with your local planning office. It sounds like a change of use and if it’s a residential area it would probably not be allowed.

I am sure that your local council would like to know if someone is not paying their business rates.
