holiday booking terms

Hi, in a holiday booking agreement, usually it is between one person 'lead guest' and the holiday company. The lead guest is basically accepting responsibility for all guests in that booking.
Is it acceptable for there to be two lead guests eg Mr and Mrs Holidaymaker?

I have a small business - self catering cottages. I want to be sure that I am doing things correctly.
Thank you

I use an agent to let out my house and they use one name for the booking. I guess two lead names that share an address and a phone won’t make much difference but usually you would want to deal with one person to make life easier. Most people are happy with this. You obviously get the rental money in advance so again one person is easier.

Sorry. I meant to add that you should get the names of all who are staying in the house and not have extra guests you don’t know about that are not declared to you.

@BubblesBuddy thank you, that is what we do....it just feels a bit rude when a new enquiry comes from a couple and the booking form only has one of them on?

I am part of a couple and I do not mind! It’s standard for many holiday bookings. My DH rather likes that I am the lead name for holidays! You can ask for names of others who are staying if you want to under “what other guests will be staying with you”. You also might like to ask about cot and high chair requirements if you have babies/toddlers staying. Holidaymakers want a lovely holiday and won’t worry too much about booking forms.
