Signing legal documents with a tremor

My mother-in-law has signed Power of Attorney documents this evening due to her declining health. Unfortunately she has a tremor and all four of her signatures look completely different! Is this going to be a problem? If I write a covering letter explaining her medical condition will that be sufficient for them to accept it?
Any advice much appreciated.

Ask a lawyer. If there is any doubt at any future stage about a POA you will kick yourself. Get it sorted now. Don't leave it. Good luck!

It might be ok but if not you will probably need a witness present to show that your mother in law has understood. It has to be non family.

Thank you both. She did sign in front of an independent witness but I will go back to the lawyer and make sure the offical office will accept it.
Thanks again.

i would think you would need a witness to the signature too...then it really doesn't matter what they look like as long as someone saw her sign and was sure she understood what she was signing.

ah, cross posted. Good luck OP.
