Selling part of an outhouse

I have a brick outhouse in my garden. I own three quarters of it. Neighbour is having his quarter renovated and has asked me to consider selling him two of my back little rooms ( think the size of two dog kennels or two outside toilets) I use these for log storage etc but could play around with the rest of my storage if I was to get a good price. Can anyone tell me what we'd need to do in order to sell? I havent got a mortgage so clearly that's one less thing to consider. I'd want the best price so would it be an estate agent we'd contact? Any suggestion would be gratefully received

Suddenly wondered if this would be better in Property?

You'd have legal fees, and perhaps need to instruct a surveyor to draw up a plan. Your property would reduce in value, so you'd want at least that, but probably more for nuisance value.

They must agree to cover all your costs whether or not you agree to sell.

Many thanks Collaborate. Ive spoken with the agent who I bought this property through.. They're very knowledgable about the cottages. Was told selling wouldn't really effect the value of mine but would increase next doors by 20,000. EA suggested a figure of 10,000 with neighbour paying for solicitor. Don't think neighbour is happy with this figure so I'll leave it. Thanks for the suggestion of the surveyor, hadn't thought of that
