Are there any barristers or criminal lawyers out there who wouldn't mind me PMing them with regard to a court case in which I am a witness please ?

How are you feeling Doinmummy?

I know I can't bear the thought of him being found not guilty when my turn comes, so I really do feel for you and empathise with the angst :(

Not bloody fair...

Remember you were brave enough to try and get justice - he is still a coward for not owning up what he did.

That's awful OP. I'm so sorry. I can understand why you must be devastated.

But well done for having the bravery to speak out. Bit by bit, the more women that speak out in cases like this, the easier it is for more women to come forward in the future. It has not gone your way this time, but you and your fellow victims have made a real difference in the grand scheme of things and for that you should be really proud.

And hopefully your attacker, and other attackers, will be less likely to hurt other people in the future knowing that people will speak out.

I'm sure that is all cold comfort to you right now, but I hope it helps you in the coming months to know that you have made a difference. Flowers

Thankyou for your support. The trouble is that it won't encourage women to come forward as future cases will refer back to ours and see that the defence used this 'abuse of process' reason to dismiss the trial.

I see it as a massive set back .
