Social media and bring a company into disrepute

I have a friend who has started posting on their facebook page saying they are being bullied and victimised at work. This as far as I know may be true, but I used to work for the same company and I know they have a social media clause in their contract. I no longer work there or have a contract to refer to but I do know you cannot post anything that may bring the company in to disrepute. I am worried that what they have posted may count as this?

I have encouraged her to contact CAB and to follow proper complaints procedures. I also told them that it is probably best not to post any comments about work, but they see nothing wrong with what they have posted Confused

Stay out of it - you've warned her, she's an adult and you can't make her take her posts down. If she identifies her employer anywhere on her FB page then that's rather dumb of her.

The company is on Facebook and has a private Facebook group which all employees join.
I am just worried that she is hurt, upset and this status may be shooting herself in the foot. I was just looking for some facts so I can help her, but yes she is an adult and I should probably just leave her to it

You've flagged it, there's nothing more you can do.

All ? By choice ?

If my employer mandated I join their FB group (my employer wouldn't even know if I have a FB account), I could think of some snappy replies.

I shouldn't have said "have to" Encouraged would have been a better word.
