How does this work?
Is it legal?
The company he owes money to is off shore.
How will this effect divorce proceedings?
Will I lose my home - we are joint tenants & the mortgage is in joint names.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Contact National Debtline and explain the situation to them and they will explain how it would effect you and the property.

Is there any aquity in the property? Are you wanting to stay in it after the divorce?

I absolutely agree with BB. Sounds like an attempt to manipulate the divorce and frustrate your claims. This is something you'll need detailed legal advice on. You need to instruct a firm that has both matrimonial and insolvency departments.

Thanks, I'm waiting to hear about my appeal for legal aid. Should I just go see the solicitor asap? I thought I had to wait until I knew what the LA outcome was.
Confused

Go ASAP. LA may not be available for you to intervene in the bankruptcy.
