Split from DH but staying in FH with DC

DH recently moved out. House is to be split in 50/50 share but we have agreed I would stay in the house with DC until they do not need the local school anymore. Reason we decided this is that the alternative would have been for us to move out of the area as it is not possible to find anything decent on my budget alone where we are and both of us are keen for the DC not to move schools. All this has been agreed amicably however I would like a binding document so that it is clear who pays for what whilst we still live at the house and that the house is not to be sold until X unless agreed by both of us as well as the split of the proceeds at the time of sale. As I said all is amicable but things can change quickly especially if other 3rd parties get involved! My question is who would I need to make up a binding document? A solicitor, notary??

Many thanks

If you are in England or Wales you will need to see a Solicitor to draw up a consent order. I am sorry I don't know the position in Scotland.

Worth looking at [https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/relationships/relationship-problems/relationship-breakdown-and-housing/if-you-re-married-or-in-a-civil-partnership-relationship-breakdown-and-housing/if-you-re-married-or-in-a-civil-partnership-and-you-own-your-home-relationship-breakdown-and-housing/relationship-breakdown-and-housing-long-term-options-for-spouses-and-civil-partners-in-an-owned-home/ Citizens Advice]] and then following the link to 'more on Property Adjustment Orders'.

Thanks, very much appreciated. We are in London. Will look in to a solicitor and check the information in the link.

Thanks again, very much appreciated.
