Bailiffs and Shared Entrances

We live in a building of 2 flats with a shared front door. There are potentially going to be bailiffs coming for the other occupier. I am pretty much the only person who opens the shared door. What if I open it and it's bailiffs for the other person? Do I have to let them in to knock on their door?

Does it matter who owns the building/flats?

Simple answer is NO you don't have to let them in. Really if you share a front door the only people you should be letting in are people coming to see you.
Politely tell anyone one else it's nothing to do with you and you can't let them in.

They might well pretend they have are delivery for you and you open the door I suppose but as said above you don't have to answer the door when it's someone calling for the other flat.

Giving them entry to the communal area isn't the same as letting them in to you neighbour's flat. I don't see what the issue is.

I think I read somewhere that once they are in though they are allowed to break down the door?
