Failure to deliver goods? Any protection?

This really is not the end of the world, but I am really cross and not sure where I stand with the extremely rude lady I have just spoken to.

I would really appreciate some clarity please!

I have bought a 5:2 fasting juice cleanse (at enormous expense - £280). It is delivered once a week at a specified time for 3 weeks.

Today is day 1 and delivery due at 10am (you HAVE to be here in person). By 1130am, no delivery so I contact them to ask where it is and apparently there is an issue with the delivery company that they have been trying to sort out all morning…except they failed to tell the customer.

They have offered alternative deliveries (inconvenient all this week) and a delay/postponment means I will be abroad the last week of the cleanse.

So basically I want my money back. But they won't, as their flaky ToB's state failure of delivery company is out of their control (except, I have no idea if it is actually the delivery company's fault or they have made an admin error??!!).

Is there any protection for consumers in this instance (as more a point of principal?!).

Many thanks.
