Need advice, about a rental contract , LL is taking over management from estate agent

I just need to know the legal implications, owner has a contract with estate agent to manage a rental flat, the esate agent did the inventory and the rent gets paid into estate agent's account. Owner has now decided to take over the managment in a few weeks. Does the rental contract become void and have to signed again ? Estate agents have said that they have to come and sign off the inventory. Owner also wants to change payment date of rent. Is it legally possible to get out of the contract on the date of the change over ? Dd wants to move but if everything had stayed the same she would have had to give notice at the end of the month and move next month. As it is the estate agents lose the contract at the time she would have to give notice . Just need to know where she stands . Thanks

having done this as a landlord, there's no effect on the contract. That's between landlord and tenant, nothing to do with agent.

if tenant wants to move, give 1 month notice to expire on day rent is paid. Unless there is a fixed term.

not unless tenant agrees by signing a new contract.

if tenant doesn't agree, landlord issues notice to leave. Doesn't seem a problem as tenant wants to go anyway!

In the contract with estate agent it says rent will be paid on agreed day and is not specific about day. Land lord wants to change date to earlier in month before dd is paid. Dd is in a panic as she can't do that day as she won't have funds in account

she says 'no'. The contract is what she agreed to, that is the legally binding arrangement. It cannot be varied without the agreement of both sides.

the contract (which BTW is not adequate) says an agreed day. She doesn't agree to his date so it doesn't change.

no need for panic. But being better informed about tenant's rights is always good.
