Family Court Case. Ex possibly not paying his solicitor

My ex-h and I have been in and out of Family Court for the last year.He currently doesn't see the DCs but wants access. He has failed to get the necessary mental health reports requested at the last court session.

Now we are due back at court. A four hour slot has been allocated so we can both be questioned about our witness statements.

I have heard ex owes £3k so far and his solicitor is asking for payment.

If he doesn't pay does that mean he will not be represented and be able to question me directly himself?

would your ex represent himself in court?

Yes your ex could question you himself in court

Has you ex any experience of this type of trained legal work?

MsNobodyAgain · 14/12/2013 03:36

Thanks for the reply. No he hasn't got any experience in legal work.

He would try to represent himself because he is so ill, he thinks he is invincible. I don't like the idea because he is stalking me through family and friends threatening violence. I have reported him 3 times via 101. If it carries on, they will give him a PIN notice.

He is pretty scary and unstable.

Well if he hasn't obtained the mental health reports, which presumably the Court has ordered, he's not going to get very far.

I was questioned in family court by my ex and he quickly realised he was making a farce of himself - he asked closed questions, every single one and I answered quickly and easily. It was a very very different matter when the barrister questioned him and I cringed in my seat and was thankful my questions had been from an inexperienced layman Smile honestly don't worry about questioning as the judge will not let him bully you and actually will be used to putting someone like him in his place

Thanks. I feel a little better now. Just wish it was all over.

My Lo's dad tried to question me, I say tried because it went like this;

Him "Was I ever abusive........"
Me: 'I open my mouth'
Him: "Don't say I did because I didn't you're lying"
Judge "Let her answer the question before you tell her she's lying"
Him "She's lying though"
Me: "Yes you were"
Him "No, I wasn't"
Judge "That's enough"

My barrister and the judge were extreme quick to stop him fart assing around in court. He never got anywhere quick with representing himself

checked I can see it going just like that. At our last court appearance he did a 'Kevin the Teenager' and left the court saying "it's not fair" before we were even finished.

Yep, dead rational. Hmm

It went like that at every hearing. He only got PR because he had a barrister. When they put a no contact order and closed his case down he left saying the same, "It's not fair" "You've won, I bet you're glad" "The court system is bias" "You've bribed everyone in here"

Let him dig himself a hole it's funny to watch them try and scramble their way out haha
