CRB - & social services report

I'm volunteering for a local charity at the moment, and as I've taken on more they need me to do a crb (or DBS or whatever it's called now)

Which is fine, I have no criminal record, not even so much as a speeding ticket lol...

However when I was 18 & my Dd was just over a year old, I got maliciously reported to social services, by someone of authority (warden of the temporary housing I was in) she later lost her job for grosse misconduct because of it. I'm still not sure to this day what was said in this report, but it was so severe that two police officers (child protection officers) and a social worker turned up on my door after I'd finished work (about 7pm) ready to take my dd away, obviously as soon as they'd seen her & talked to me it was clear nothing was wrong & she wasn't removed from my care - an initial assessment was done & they gave me a glowing report. Will

Would this show up on an enchanced crb?

Very unlikely. An enhanced CRB includes non-conviction information the police consider relevant. I would be amazed if the police considered this to be relevant. Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me to find that they have no record of this at all.

Thank you :-) I had to put it down on their own records form, as it asked directly, and it's made me really worried that it could potentially be on a crb record, despite it being a malicious & unfounded report

Oh just makes me remember that a friend was wondering today: she needs to do this DBS but she is scared as she had the police round for domestic at her place twice this year, she called them herself, mainly her husband was drunk and unreasonable and she wanted to teach him a lesson, no one was arrested. Will this show on her record?

Absolutely not. The fact that someone has called the police to an incident at their home isn't even vaguely relevant. And her husband's behaviour is also not relevant.

Very late answer but no it won't.

i went through a very similar situation to that which you describe although unfortunately it took a bit longer than you did to get social services off my back and the police insisted on investigating the allegations (understandably). My life was hell for about 6 months before it was accepted everything was either unfounded or massively exaggerated.

I needed a CRB check for my job and had exactly the same worries as you but it came back clear and I've had 2 more since with no problems.

I hope that puts your mind at rest.
