We know re really need to make a will, but it seems really confusing?

Should we go to a solicitor?
Should we DIY?
Should we use online company?

Any advice appreciated!!!

Depends how complicated it's going to be
We were concerned about the Guardianship aspect of our wills due to difficult family circumstances so we spoke to a solicitor who was great and although more expensive wrote very good & comprehensive complementary wills which covered the stuff we were worried about.

Your best bet is Mumblechum1 who regularly posts on here and who has written wills for many, many mumsnetters. She has an advert in the classified section on here.

Thanks Zombie!

OP, you do need to be careful about who you choose. If you're going to make a will it's best to speak to a qualified lawyer in person (on the phone or face to face) so that they can give you proper indepth advice, after finding out about your individual circumstances.

You should only use either a solicitor or a will writer who's a member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers. You may pay £50 more but it's worth it imo.

There is a lot more to doing a good quality will which does the job it's intended to do than just ticking boxes.
