Small Claims Court - hopefully quick question

My DH has been trying to get a supplier to pay for work done/goods bought and the defendant has been ordered by the Small Claims Court to pay him. There appears to be no sign of the money as yet, so does anyone know what happens next and where do we go to get the buggers to pay?

It is a company, not an individual, but they have been a nightmare to deal with from start to finish and were contesting the claim. I've also posted in legal but I was hoping that you wise people could share your wisdom with us!

Afaik, you will need to enforce the court order by paying £100 to send the baliff to collect the money. They of couse, will add the £100 to the amount due.

I wrote off £30 that an individual was ordered to pay me via the small claims court in case the person hid behind his sofa when the bailiffs tried to call and I lost my £100 (I was the defendant in a feeble case against me and these were my costs).

You should be OK if it's a company, I would have thought.

You need to enforce it. The court don't do this proactively, its up to you to decide which method to use: attachment of earnings, warrant of execution, charging order, garnishee (I know it's called something different now but can't remember); basically, the court will have a leaflet outlining your options.
