Lump sum order

Has anyone recently applied for a lump sum order under section 1 of the childrens act? I am trying to apply for one, without the extra expense of a solicitor, and am trying to get the correct forms.

Everywhere I look online states I need a Form C10 and C10A. However, these no longer exist on the HM Courts website. When I ring the court they tell me to look it up online! Do I need to use a Form E and Form C100?

Also, does anyone have any examples of what can be applied for?

Thank you

It's Form A1.

Form E1 follows at a later date.

Refer the court to rule 9.12 of the FPR 2010 and ask them to issue standard direction in accordance with that. My local county court still hasn't got it right.

If you go to court they might give you a form A1. I don't know where you'll get it on the internet, but worth a try.

You can apply for periodical payments, lump sum, settlement or transfer of property, and secured periodical payments.

I think I need to apply for all of them. Is it something I could do myself or would I need a solicitor? Funds are low! Also could you tell me the procedure?

Thanks so much.

I suggest you get the forms and take it from there. If it all makes sense to you, have a go yourself. If you know now that you'd be lost dealing with it yourself, you need a solicitor.

I've downloaded the form from HMRC courts & completed it. Can you tell me the full procedure for serving it?

Also, what sort of things should I/can I include on it?

Thank you

Just complete E1 and send it to court with the fee. Make sure they issue standard directions as per my first post. The directions will speak for themselves. You need to make sure you follow them fully. They will set a timetable for what you need to do and when.
