Taking absent parent to court for maintenance, can I do this myself?

I pretty much know what I need to do, I also have a degree in Law but am not a qualified solicitor. I can't afford to pay someone to do it, is it possible to do it myself? He's not in the UK but I'm covered by REMO. Any advice (please)? Smile

Depends whether you already have a court order. REMO only applies, I think, if an order is already in existence

No. It was an arrangement via the CSA. They assessed him, he paid it directly to me (was years ago and he's earning loads more now, but he also now has 2 other children). I looked at the web site, it says to go to the magistrates court here if there's no court order in place so I'm assuming it's OK. The REMO form is online and the guidance notes do include what to fill in/skip if there's no court order.
