Collaborative law

I have been going through the early stages of a marriage split as my wife has told me wants us to go our separate ways. I have been looking after our 5 year old son while she went to work. I gave up my career to do this which we did both agree to. My son is now settled in school and she wants me to leave. I have been to a solicitor for legal advice and so has she. We tried to sort things out but she wants everything on her terms. It now looks like we will be going collaborative law. Has anyone got any idea how good or bad this could turn out as I feel like I'm just loosing out all the time.

As my moniker suggests, I am a collaborative solicitor, and would urge you to embrace the process. You won't regret it. You both adopt the mindset (with help) that you have a shared problem, and you look for a shared solution. Success rate is I think in the high 90s percentage-wise.

Totally agree with Collaborate. Good luck
