Lasting Power of Attorney (another question)

I asked last year about an LPA regarding my elderly Aunt. I have now received the registraton but (apologies if this sounds like a thick question) is that it? As in, should I now be wating for an "approval" or for it to be "granted"? Is registration the final stage?

I can't see anywhere that I should be expecting anything else but just wanted to make sure, thanks

No, that's it. You can use it if your Aunt is happy for you to do so, but bear in mind the notes for guidance in Section C regarding your responsibility towards her.

Thank you both.

Is it for finances or welfare?

mumblechum1 · 17/04/2012 21:19

The OPG should also have sent you a leaflet about how to use the LPA.

Are you the sole attorney?

Shakey1500 · 27/04/2012 20:17

Apologies, I deleted this from my watch list Blush

Zoelda It's just for finances. I was told that, as I was (the only) next of kin, that the welfare one wouldn't be needed?

mumblechum I had a letter from the OPG saying it had now been registered but no real guidance on how to use it. Yes, I am the sole attorney.
