Money worries over court proceedings

Hoping someone out there can give me some advice. My ex partner currently sees our 16mth old daughter at a contact centre biweekly at my request due to his abusive behaviour towards me, disappearing with baby on one occasion and an untreated psychological disorder. He is push push push through his solicitors to have her stay at his house as you can imagine this is putting her at risk so cannot happenZ . His next step is to take this to court and my huge concern in cost. I do not qualify for any funding at all , but I have very little money and cannot afford solicitors or court fees. I dread the post arriving for yet another solicitor bill. - how am i meant to get by?

Self represent. It's not hard once you get your head around it. Look into appointing a Mckenzie friend. Google it. I've seen on here that some charge but I would avoid those. You just need a friend who can be there to take notes and support you. It is better that you choose someone level headed that doesn't just tell you what you want to hear.
Ive found that courts respect you for it as long as you can compose yourself, keep a cool head and not get overly emmotional.

Thank you so much - I thought about self representing but didnt think I would be strong enough to do so.

Neither did I! I was terrified but it's really not so bad and I think you come across as more genuine. My ex's solicitor comes out with the loads of solicitor speak which you know is just standard stuff! It's like verbal copy and paste!
