Delicate matter of Wills...

My grandmother passed away last year (August) and when she was alive she said to me she was keeping money aside for my two DC. Anyway, it's now been weeks and my own mother has never mentioned anything about what money the DC are entitled to. She is going through a bit of a rough patch with depression just now and so I do not even want to broach the subject with her. Should I though? Do I leave it a while longer until she's able to discuss it? DH feels it is not right that the DC have not been given a share that was meant for them (I made it very clear I did not want any money from my grandmother when she was still alive which she accepted). They did not involve a solicitor because my grandmother's estate was not anything over the value of £25k (which the bank said they were perfectly entitled to sort out the final arrangements themselves which they did). DH thinks this is a bit suspicious, almost like they are hiding something? Can anyone give me some advice here on what to do? I feel I should speak out on DCs behalf as I'm their mum.

Have you applied for a copy of the will?

Never thought to ask for a copy as I don't want to cause any upset. Seems if I want to know what's going on I will just have to ask to see it.

You can ask via probate office - just Google "how do I apply for a copy if a will" - no one will know Wink
