Pro bono basis

Does anyone know how I can qualify for a barrister on pro bono basis? I dont apply for legal aid and have no funds what so ever, I do part own a property so does that count me out? Downloaded a form from the pro bono unit today but it says you need to be recommended either from citizens advice bureau (went today they could not help me) or a lawyer, (enquired this matter with my old lawyer but she said she could not help me either.)
Any ideas, I really need a barrister for an urgent family matter?

Thanks
