A question about Crown Court

If you're the main witness in a Crown Court case (serious crime but the victim is too young to speak for him/herself), do you get the chance to speak to the prosecution barrister before the case? Does anyone prepare you for questions you might be asked by the defence?

There's a strong possibility I might find myself in this situation soon and I have no idea what to expect.

@ InterruptingCow :- I've never been in the Crown Court, which may surprise some people, but you may be able to find the info you want from this page on the Crown Prosecution Service web site :- www.cps.gov.uk/victims_witnesses/

That's helpful, Melvin. Thank you. It says that you meet with a member of the CPS team before the case to discuss your statement.
