How much should I expect to pay for a will?

Please could someone advise what you think it would be reasonable to expect to pay a firm of solicitors to prepare a will? I own a house jointly with my husband and have some savings (no complicated assets like farmland, foreign property etc). Would just want to leave all to my husband, or if he had died to my two children. Also, if my husband made a will at the same time so that we had two wills along the same lines, what would it be reasonable to expect to pay for the two? We live in West Yorkshire (in case there are regional variations in what firms charge).

Hi, A mumsnetter did my will recently. PM Mumblechum and she'll answer questions for you.

She's very reasonable (and lovely) Smile

Smile Thanks yer madge.

Nonickname, my normal charge is £130 to do a pair of wills in the circumstances you describe. If you'd like to PM me, or email me on [email protected], I'll be happy to provide more details.

I can do everything by phone, email and post.

Lots of lovely Mumsnetters have said they'd happily recommend me. And I didn't even have to bribe them (much).
