My 2 sons (11, 13)were on an 8 day holiday in Malaga with my ex husband and his new family - and both of them came back with 2nd degree burns. There were also 7 of them (3 adults and 4 children) staying in a 1 bed apartment. I've taken the boys to my dr - who said it was the worst case of sunburn she had seen in her entire professional career. It truly is horrendous. My ex never gave them pain relief whilst they were away nor did ANYONE seek medical advice - they were not even given aftersun. The blisters on my youngest son's back are 4inches by 2 inches big. I've been to my solicitor and she is applying for a court order to define access and also to stop the boys ever travelling to stay with him again (he lives in Wales, we live in Northern Ireland) my solicitor suggested supervised access... but i felt that was very extreme, and would upset the boys...... am I wrong - shoudl i go for supervised access?

thing is your sons are 11 and 13 - so also old enough to be somewhat responsible as well for sun screen. presumably you supplied them with sun cream and told them before they went?

agree other adults there should also have been onto them...how much did they say to ex? were they actually refused pain killers/after sun?

boys of that age can take some responsibility!

no,supervised access would be ridiculous....what has their dad said to you about this??
