child benefit

My daughter went to live with my ex in November and we agreed that we wouldnt change the CSA or Child benefit arrangements but that I would pay him directly. He went back on this and in February I got a form to fill in from Child benefit agency to relinquish my right to child benefit for her. Unbeknown to me he went behind my back and filed a claim for child support for her and since February I have been paying him £69 a week. She came back to live with me 3 weeks ago but do you think he will give up the child benefit? not a chance, he is claiming that this move back is only 'temporary'. My daugher has written him numerous letters to explain that she isnt going back to live with him but he is still totally in denial about this. My daugher is 16 - anyone out there know what I can do to convince the child benefit agency that this change is permanent? Thanks!

Get letter from solicitor stating that
you have residency and send it to CB agency
state the date she moved back with you
and they will reclaim what you are owed
from you ex,my daughter had similar problems
with ex MIL when my daughter was in hospital
for FOUR weeks (how to get stabbed in the
back when youre down)

thanks for that- I will definately give this a try, as she is 17 in a few weeks I have applied for her driving licence, so hopefully that will also add to the proof.

I am shocked by the length that ex MIL's will go to in supporting their offspring in being such shits to us!

Hope your daughter is better now
